River Walk Bath
re-connecting working river and city
In June 2014 working with Bath Spa University students and alumni I co-created an installation as part of the opening celebrations of the new studio facilities at the Newton Park campus...and sowed seeds for future work. This blog is a working space and a record of the process. I hope viewers, walkers and artists will follow and join us.
The installation was based on and inspired by a single days walk from the historic water powered brass mill at Saltford along the river Avon and the old railway through the remains of Baths industrial heritage to a derelict Georgian lido. Saltford Brass Mill to Cleveland Pools along the river Avon. The walk offers thought provoking sights and sounds and all kinds of hidden histories on a theme of WATER
Work and wealth.
Leisure and decay.
Flow and Still.
